About Us

Our Mission

To help people get recognised for what they already know, so they can access new skills, qualifications, and opportunities.

Our Vision

An equitable future built on inclusive, lifelong access to skills and learning.

Career paths are becoming increasingly lateral, dynamic, and unpredictable, but traditional systems are not moving at the same pace. As learners move across roles, sectors, and careers, our frameworks for recognising experience are falling behind.Red Velvet AI removes barriers to upskill the future workforce. We help education, training providers and skills assessment bodies recognise skills and knowledge, wherever they are gained. Our intelligent platform makes recognition faster, fairer, and more flexible, bridging the gap between learning and opportunity.

Origin of The Name

LLMs are like plain cakes: versatile foundations, but generic on their own. Real value comes from customisation. At Red Velvet AI, we turn that base into something meaningful, using proprietary data and tailored workflows to solve real-world problems. Like a red velvet cake, it’s the specific layers that make it stand out.

What We Value and How We Act

1 / Relentless Curiosity

We leave no stone unturned. We’re driven by a deep curiosity to understand every corner of our customers’ world – from workflows to data flows. We dig in, ask questions, and explore the why behind the what, because real insight lives in the details.

2 / Radical Transparency

AI that explains itself. We build systems you can trust – no black boxes, no magic tricks. Every recommendation is traceable, explainable, auditable, and backed by empirical evidence. In education, trust isn’t optional – it needs to be earned.

3 / Compassionate Innovation

We innovate from empathy. Our solutions emerge from truly understanding the challenges faced by educators, administrators, and learners. We build tools that respect human wisdom, alleviate genuine pain points, and enhance natural workflows. Our measure of success isn’t technical sophistication—it’s the positive difference we make in people’s daily experience.

4 / Partners in Reinvention

We collaborate to create positive change. Through close partnerships with educators and administrators, we target the pain points that deserve disruption while strengthening what already works. We are committed to thoughtful innovation that solves real problems and unlocks new possibilities in education.

5 / We Bake Good Cakes

Good tech is like good cake – balanced, layered, and made with care. We don’t ship half-baked features or sprinkle AI on top for the buzz. We take time to get the recipe right – mixing rigour, empathy, and creativity to deliver products that feel just right.
